The APEX Accelerator (formerly the Crater PTAC) is closing out our fiscal year July 31st with a bang!!
We have accomplished:
- 305 active New clients
- Over 700 Counseling hours
- $12+ million in federal awards going to our clients
- $22+ million in state awards going to our clients.
We participated and held 36 events in our last calendar year and look forward to doing that again in the upcoming year.
We are meeting with Brunswick Economic Development, Alfreda Reynolds, in early August to tour Brunswick and to learn more about Brunswick county and the businesses there. We are planning a Business Resource event in Brunswick in the future and will propose starting our one-on-one counseling sessions monthly.
We are in meeting with SCORE mentor, Doug Carelton in an effort to start a 4-6 sessions of Business Roundtable discussions here at the PDC for the Petersburg and surrounding areas. If this is successful, it may be a model for the future in our different coverage areas on a rotating basis.
DLA Aviation in Richmond, VA has invited Lynne Mann, to sit on their panel when they unveil their new Vendor Information Hub. This much-needed informational hub will provide information that current vendors doing business with this local powerhouse must have. Did you know that the DLA Aviation (formerly the Defense Supply Center) is the Aviation demand and supply manager for the Defense Logistics Agency? They have more than 4,000 civilian and military personnel in 22 locations across the United States supporting more than 2,341 major weapon systems. They are the material manager for more than 1.8 million national stock number items. They support the Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, and Space Force…right here in our backyard.
