Fort Lee
The largest concentration of Department of Defense personnel in our district is at Fort Lee in Prince George County. An Army training installation, Fort Lee is the home of Army sustainment and the headquarters for U.S. Army Combined Arms Support Command, Defense Commissary Agency and Defense Contract Management Agency.

Defense Supply Center Richmond
The Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR), the home of DLA Aviation , hosts a variety of Defense Logistics Agency tenant agencies and other organizations on the 600-acre installation. Including, the headquarters of the Virginia National Guard. DSCR which is located on U.S. Route 1 in Chesterfield County employs approximately 3,00 primarily civilian employees..

Fort PIckett
Fort Pickett is located near the Town of Blackstone and sits on the border of Dinwiddie County and Nottoway County. Fort Picket contains 41,00 acres and serves as a major Army National Guard Maneuver Training Center.
In November, 2019 the U.S. Department of State opened its new state-of-the-art training center called FASTC (Foreign Affairs Security Training Center). This training center is located on 1350 acers within Fort Pickett. FASTC will train up to 10,000 new security personnel annually.
